Dania Ramos is a writer, educator, and producer specializing in cultural and community-focused creative projects.

Dania is the creator and head writer of the audio drama Timestorm (Cocotazo Media), which has been recognized as a Webby Awards Honoree, an Anthem Awards medalist, and a Common Sense Selection. Her recent stage play, The Quilt Keepers, was co-commissioned by Montclair State University and Vanguard Theatre Company in partnership with the New Jersey Play Lab. Other plays have been produced or developed by Luna Stage, Vivid Stage, Writers Theatre of New Jersey, Speranza Theatre Company, Repertorio Español, and Teatro Vivo. Her dramatic works have been recognized by the Nuestras Voces National Playwriting Competition (finalist), the Henley Rose Playwright Competition (finalist), and the New Jersey State Council on the Arts (fellowship). Dania is also the author of the middle-grade mystery novels Ignacio in the Dark and Who’s Ju? (2015 Intl. Latino Book Award for Best YA eBook, 2015 ILBA Mariposa Award finalist, 2017 Sakura Medal nominee).

Dania is a faculty member of the Wilkes University Graduate Creative Writing program. She brings over twenty years of experience teaching theatre and creative writing for the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and other arts organizations. She has also written teacher curriculum resource materials for over 40 stage and audio productions.

Dania received an MA in Creative Writing from Wilkes University and a BFA in Theatre from Montclair State University. She’s a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Kids Listen, and Actors’ Equity Association.
